آیت 17{ لِّنَفْتِنَہُمْ فِیْہِ } ”تاکہ ہم اس فراوانی میں ان کی آزمائش کریں۔“ یعنی ہم لوگوں کو خوب سیراب کر کے اور انہیں مختلف النوع نعمتوں سے نواز کر ان کا امتحان لیتے ہیں۔ ظاہر ہے اللہ تعالیٰ کی آزمائش کے انداز مختلف ہیں ‘ وہ کسی کو تونگری اور خوشحالی میں آزماتا ہے تو کسی کو فاقوں میں مبتلا کرکے اس کا امتحان لیتا ہے۔ { وَمَنْ یُّعْرِضْ عَنْ ذِکْرِ رَبِّہٖ } ”اور جو کوئی بھی اعراض کرے گا اپنے رب کے ذکر سے“ { یَسْلُکْہُ عَذَابًا صَعَدًا۔ } ”تو وہ ڈال دے گا اس کو چڑھتے عذاب میں۔“ یعنی اللہ تعالیٰ انہیں ایسے عذاب میں ڈالے گا جس کی شدت ہر لمحہ بڑھتی ہی چلی جائے گی۔
