63:6

سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ أَسۡتَغۡفَرۡتَ لَهُمۡ أَمۡ لَمۡ تَسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ لَن يَغۡفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ ٦

اے نبیؐ ، تم چاہے ان کے لیے مغفرت کی دُعا کرو یا نہ کرو، ان کے لیے یکساں ہے، اللہ ہر گز انہیں معاف نہ کرے گا،¹ اللہ فاسق لوگوں کو ہر گز ہدایت نہیں دیتا۔²

[1] اس آیت میں دو مضمون بیان کیے گئے ہیں۔ ایک یہ کہ دعائے مغفرت صرف ہدایت یافتہ لوگوں ہی کے حق میں مفید ہو سکتی ہے۔ جو شخص ہدایت سے پھر گیا ہو اور جس نے اطاعت کے بجائے فسق و نا فرمانی کی راہ اختیار کر لی ہو، اس کے لیے کوئی عام آدمی تو در کنار، خود اللہ کا رسول بھی مغفرت کی دعا کرے تو اسے معاف نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔ دوسرے یہ کہ ایسے لوگوں کو ہدایت بخشنا اللہ کا طریقہ نہیں ہے جو اس کی ہدایت کے طالب نہ ہوں۔اگر ایک بندہ خود اللہ تعالیٰ کی ہدایت سے منہ موڑ رہا ہو، بلکہ ہدایت کی طرف اسے بلایا جائے تو سر جھٹک کر غرور کے ساتھ اس دعوت کو رد کر دے ، تو اللہ کو کیا ضرورت پڑی ہے کہ اس کے پیچھے پیچھے اپنی ہدایت لیے پھرے اور خوشامد کرے اسے راہ راست پر لائے۔
[2] یہ بات سورہ توبہ میں (جو سورہ منافقون کے تین سال بعد نازل ہوئی ہے ) اور زیادہ تاکید کے ساتھ فرما دی گئی۔ اس میں اللہ تعالیٰ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم کو مخاطب کر کے منافقین کے متعلق فرمایا کہ ’’ تم چاہے ان کے لیے استغفار کرو یا نہ کرو، اگر تم ستر(70) مرتبہ بھی ان کے لیے دعائے مغفرت کرو گے تو اللہ ان کو ہر گز معاف نہ کرے گا۔ یہ اس لیے کہ انہوں نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے کفر کیا ہے ، اور اللہ فاسق لوگوں کو ہدایت نہیں دیا کرتا ’’ (التوبہ۔ آیت 80)۔ آگے چل کر پھر فرمایا’’ اگر ان میں سے کوئی مر جائے تو اس کی نماز جنازہ کبھی نہ پڑھنا اور نہ اس کی قبر پر کھڑے ہونا۔ ان لوگوں نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے کفر کیا ہے اور یہ فاسق ہونے کی حالت میں مرے ہیں ‘‘(التوبہ۔ آیت 84)۔

Translations are available in both JSON and SQLite database formats. Some translation has footnotes as well, footnotes are embedded in the translation text using sup HTML tag. To support a wide range of applications, including websites, mobile apps, and desktop tools, we provide multiple export formats for translations.

Available export formats:

1. Nested Array Structure

Translations are grouped by Surah. Each Surah is an array containing translations for each Ayah in order. This format export translations as simple text, no formatting, no footnotes.

2. Key-Value Structure

Each translation is stored with the Ayah reference (e.g. 1:1) as the key and the translated text as the value. This format also exports translations as simple text, no formatting, no footnotes etc.

Translations with Footnotes

Translations with footnotes are available in three more formats:

1. Footnotes as Tags Format

Footnotes are embedded using a <sup> tag with a foot_note attribute. Footnote contents are stored separately under f key.

2. Inline Footnote Format

Footnotes are inserted directly using double square brackets e.g([[this is footnote]])

3. Text Chunks Format

In chunks export format, text is divided into chunks. Each chunk could be a simple text or an object. Object can be either footnote or a formatting tag. This format is useful for applications can't directly render the HTML tags. Here is an example of Bridges` translation for Surah An-Nas , Ayah 6:
