67:2

ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ لِيَبۡلُوَكُمۡ أَيُّكُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ عَمَلٗاۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٢

جس نے موت اور زندگی کو ایجاد کیا تاکہ تم لوگوں کو آزما کر دیکھے تم میں سے کون بہتر عمل کرنے والا ہے،¹ اور وہ زبردست بھی ہے اور درگزر فرمانے والا بھی۔²

[1] اس کے دو معنی ہیں اور دونوں ہی یہاں مراد ہیں ۔ ایک یہ کہ وہ بے انتہا زبردست اور سب پر پوری طرح غالب ہونے کے باوجود اپنی مخلوق کے حق میں رحیم و غفور ہے، ظالم اور سخت گیر نہیں ہے۔ دوسرے یہ کہ بُرے عمل کرنے والوں کو سزا دینے کی وہ پوری قدرت رکھتا ہے ، کسی میں یہ طاقت نہیں کہ اُس کی سزا سے بچ سکے۔ مگر جو نادم ہو کر بُرائی سے باز آجائے اور معافی مانگ لے اس کے ساتھ وہ درگزر کا معاملہ کرنے والا ہے۔
[2] یعنی دنیا میں انسانوں کے مرنے اور جینے کا یہ سلسلہ اُس نے اِس لیے شروع کیا ہے کہ اُن کا امتحان لے اور یہ دیکھنے کہ کس انسان کا عمل زیادہ بہتر ہے ۔ اس مختصر سے فقرے میں بہت سی حقیقتوں کا طرف اشارہ کر دیا گیا ہے۔ اول یہ کہ موت اور حیات اُسی کی طرف سے ہے ، کوئی دوسرا نہ زندگی بخشنے والا ہے نہ موت دینے والا۔ دوسرے یہ کہ انسان جیسی ایک مخلوق، جسے نیکی اور بدی کرنے کی قدرت عطا کی گئی ہے ، اُس کی نہ زندگی بے مقصد ہے نہ موت۔ خالق نے اُسے یہاں امتحان کے لیے پیدا کیا ہے۔ زندگی اُس کے لیے امتحان کی مہلت ہے اور موت کے معنی یہ ہیں کہ اُس کے امتحان کا وقت ختم ہو گیا ۔ تیسرے یہ کہ اِسی امتحان کی غرض سے خالق نے ہر ایک کو عمل کا موقع دیا ہے تا کہ وہ دنیا میں کام کر کے اپنے اچھائی یا برائی کا اظہار کر سکے اور عملاً یہ دکھاوے کہ وہ کیسا انسان ہے ۔ چوتھے یہ کہ خالق ہی دراصل اِس بات کا فیصلہ کرنے والا ہے کہ کس کا علم اچھا ہے اور کس کا بُرا۔ اعمال کی اچھائی اور بُرائی کا معیار تجویز کرنا امتحان دینے والوں کا کام نہیں ہے بلکہ امتحان لینے والے کا کام ہے ۔ لہٰذا جو بھی امتحان میں کامیاب ہونا چاہے اُسے یہ معلوم کرنا ہو گا کہ ممتحن کے نزدیک محسن عمل کیا ہے۔ پانچواں نکتہ خود امتحان کے مفہوم میں پوشیدہ ہے اور وہ یہ کہ جس شخص کا جیسا عمل ہو گا اس کے مطابق اس کو جزا دی جائے گی، کیونکہ اگر جزا نہ ہو تو سرے سے امتحان لینے کے کوئی معنی ہی نہیں رہتے ۔

Translations are available in both JSON and SQLite database formats. Some translation has footnotes as well, footnotes are embedded in the translation text using sup HTML tag. To support a wide range of applications, including websites, mobile apps, and desktop tools, we provide multiple export formats for translations.

Available export formats:

1. Nested Array Structure

Translations are grouped by Surah. Each Surah is an array containing translations for each Ayah in order. This format export translations as simple text, no formatting, no footnotes.

2. Key-Value Structure

Each translation is stored with the Ayah reference (e.g. 1:1) as the key and the translated text as the value. This format also exports translations as simple text, no formatting, no footnotes etc.

Translations with Footnotes

Translations with footnotes are available in three more formats:

1. Footnotes as Tags Format

Footnotes are embedded using a <sup> tag with a foot_note attribute. Footnote contents are stored separately under f key.

2. Inline Footnote Format

Footnotes are inserted directly using double square brackets e.g([[this is footnote]])

3. Text Chunks Format

In chunks export format, text is divided into chunks. Each chunk could be a simple text or an object. Object can be either footnote or a formatting tag. This format is useful for applications can't directly render the HTML tags. Here is an example of Bridges` translation for Surah An-Nas , Ayah 6:
