• سميت الحاقة؛ لافتتاحها بلفظ الحاقة وهي القيامة التي يتحقق فيها الوعد والوعيد، وتكرر ذكر هذه الكلمة في السورة ثلاث مرات؛ توكيدًا لأهمية شأنها.
• تَهويلُ يوم القيامة، وتهديدُ المكذبين بوقوعه، وتذكيرُهم بما حلَّ بالأمم المكذِّبة قبلهم من عذاب الدنيا، ووصفُ أهوال يوم الجزاء، وذكر حال السعداء والأشقياء في ذلك اليوم.
• التنويه بشأن القرآن، والقَسَم البليغ بصدق الرَّسول ﷺ، وردُّ افتراءات المشركين الذين زعموا أنَّ القرآن سحرٌ أو كِهانةٌ، وبيانُ أن القرآن رحمةٌ للمؤمنين وحسرةٌ على الكافرين، وفي ضمنه الإنذار بتحقُّق الوعيد الذي في القرآن.
القيامة الواقعة حقًّا التي يتحقق فيها الوعد والوعيد، ما القيامة الواقعة حقًّا في صفتها وحالها؟ وأي شيء أدراك -أيها الرسول- وعَرَّفك حقيقة القيامة، وصَوَّر لك هولها وشدتها؟
