اللہ تعالیٰ کو یہ مطلوب تھا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے صرف وہی لوگ ملیں جو فی الواقع سنجیدہ مقصد کے تحت آپ سے ملنا چاہتے ہیں۔ غیر ضروری قسم کے لوگ چھانٹ دئے جائیں جو اپنی بے فائدہ باتوں سے صرف وقت ضائع کرنے کا سبب بنتے ہیں۔ اس ليے یہ اصول مقرر کیا گیا کہ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ملنے کا ارادہ کرو تو پہلے اللہ کے نام پر کچھ صدقہ کرو۔ اور اگر اس کی قدرت نہ ہوتو کوئی دوسری نیکی کرو۔
یہ حکم اگر چہ اصلاً رسول کے ليے مطلوب تھا۔ مگر رسول کے بعد بھی امت کے رہنماؤں کے حق میں وہ حالات کے اعتبار سے درجہ بدرجہ مطلوب ہوگا۔
