﴿ألم تر إلى الذين نهوا عن النجوى﴾ نزلت في المنافقين واليهود كانوا يتناجون فيما بينهم دون المؤمنين وينظرون إلى المؤمنين ليُواقعوا في قلوبهم ريبةً وتهمةً ويظنُّون أنَّ ذلك لشيءٍ بلغهم ممَّا يهمُّهم فشكوا ذلك إلى رسول الله ﷺ فنهاهم عن ذلك فعادوا لما نُهوا عنه فأنزل الله: ﴿ألم تر إلى الذين نهوا عن النجوى ثم يعودون لما﴾ أَي: إلى ﴿ما نُهوا عنه ويتناجون بالإِثم والعدوان ومعصية الرسول﴾ أي: يعصي بعضهم بعضاً سرَّاً بالظُّلم والإِثم وترك طاعة الرَّسول عليه السَّلام ﴿وإذا جاؤوك حيوك بما لم يُحَيِّكَ به الله﴾ يعني: قولهم: السَّام عليك ﴿ويقولون في أنفسهم: لولا يعذِّبنا الله بما نقول﴾ وذلك أنَّهم قالوا: لو كان نبيَّاً لعذَّبنا بهذا قال الله: ﴿حسبهم جهنم يصلونها فبئس المصير﴾ ثمَّ نهى المؤمنين عن مثل ذلك فقال:
