﴿إن ربك يعلم أنك تقوم﴾ للصَّلاة والقراءة ﴿أدنى﴾ أقلَّ ﴿من ثلثي الليل ونصفه وثلثه﴾ أي: وتقم نصفه ثلثه ﴿وطائفة من الذين معك والله يقدِّر الليل والنهار﴾ فيعلم مقادير أوقاتهما ﴿علم أن لن تحصوه﴾ لن تُطيقوا قيام اللَّيل ﴿فتاب عليكم﴾ رجع لكم إلى التَّخفيف ﴿فاقرؤوا ما تيسر من القرآن﴾ رخَّص لهم أن يقوموا فيقرؤوا ما أمكن وخفَّ بغير مقدارٍ معلومٍ من القراءة والمُدَّة ﴿علم أن سيكون منكم مرضى﴾ فيثقل عليهم قيام اللَّيل وكذلك المسافرون للتِّجارة والجهاد وهو قوله: ﴿وآخرون يضربون في الأرض يبتغون من فضل الله وآخرون يقاتلون في سبيل الله﴾ يريد: أنَّه خفف قيام اللَّيل لما علم من ثقله على هؤلاء ﴿فاقرؤوا ما تيسر منه﴾ قال المُفسِّرون: وكان هذا في صدر الإِسلام ثمَّ نُسخ بالصَّلوات الخمس وقوله: ﴿وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا لأَنْفُسِكُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوهُ عِنْدَ الله هو خيراً وأعظم أجراً﴾ مما خلقتم وتركتم ﴿واستغفروا الله إن الله غفور﴾ لذنوب المؤمنين ﴿رحيم﴾ بهم

Tafsir text may include <html> tags for formatting such as <b>,
<i>, etc.

Tafsir content may span multiple ayahs. QUL exports both the tafsir text and the ayahs it applies to.
