(فذرهم) أي دعهم واتركهم (يخوضوا) في باطلهم (ويلعبوا) في دنياهم واشتغل بما أمرت به، ولا يعظمن عليك ما هم فيه فليس عليك إلا البلاغ، وهذا تهديد لهم وتسلية له صلى الله عليه وسلم.
(حتى يلاقوا يومهم الذي يوعدون) هو يوم كشف الغطاء الذي أوله عند الغرغرة وتناهيه النفخة الثانية ودخول كل من الفريقين في داره ومحل استقراره، وقيل هو يوم القيامة، وهذه الآية منسوخة بآية السيف كما قال البقاعي وابن عادل، قرأ الجمهور يلاقوا وقرىء يلقوا، وفيه إشارة إلى أن التفاعل ليس على بابه.

Tafsir content may span multiple ayahs. QUL exports both the tafsir text and the ayahs it applies to.
