(وما تشاؤون) أن تتخذوا إلى الله سبيلاً، وفيه التفات عن الغيبة في خلقناهم إلى الخطاب، وقرىء بالياء التحتية لمناسبة قوله خلقناهم.
وقوله: (إلا أن يشاء الله) منصوب على الظرفية وأصله إلا وقت مشيئة الله فالأمر إليه سبحانه ليس إليكم والخير والشر بيده لا مانع لما أعطى، ولا معطي لما منع، فمشيئة العبد مجردة لا تأتي بخير، ولا تدفع شراً وإن كان يثاب على المشيئة الصالحة ويؤجر على قصد الخير كما في حديث " إنما الأعمال بالنيات وإنما لكل امرىء ما نوى " [[سبق ذكره.]] قال الزجاج أي لستم تشاؤون إلا بمشيئة الله، والآية حجة على المعتزلة والقدرية (إن الله كان عليماً) أي بليغ العلم بما يكون من الأحوال (حكيماً) بليغ الحكمة في أمره ونهيه، مصيباً في جميع الأقوال والأحوال.

Tafsir text may include <html> tags for formatting such as <b>,
<i>, etc.
Note:
Tafsir content may span multiple ayahs. QUL exports both the tafsir text and the ayahs it applies to.
