﴿نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنا بَيْنَكُمُ المَوْتَ﴾ أيْ: قَسَّمْناهُ عَلَيْكم ووَقَّتْنا مَوْتَ كُلِّ أحَدٍ بِوَقْتٍ مُعَيَّنٍ حَسَبَما تَقْتَضِيهِ مَشِيئَتُنا المَبْنِيَّةُ عَلى الحِكَمِ البالِغَةِ، وقُرِئَ "قَدَرْنا" مُخَفَّفَةً.
﴿وَما نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ﴾ أيْ: إنّا قادِرُونَ.
