قوله: {مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ} : في «مِنْ» هذه أوجهٌ، أحدُها: أنَّها تبعيضيةٌ. والثاني: أنها لابتداءِ الغايةِ. والثالث: أنها لبيانِ الجنسِ وهو مردودٌ لعَدَمِ تَقَدُّمِ ما تبيِّنُه. الرابع: أنها مزيدةٌ. قال ابن عطية: «وهو مذهبٌ كوفيٌّ» قلت: ليس مذهبُهم ذلك؛ لأنهم يَشْتَرطون تنكيرَ مَجْرورِها ولا يَشْترطون غيرَه. والأخفشُ لا يَشْترط شيئاً، فزيادتُها هنا ماشٍ على قولِه، لا على قولِهم.
قوله: {وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إلى أَجَلٍ} قال الزمخشري: «فإنْ قلتَ: كيف قال:» ويُؤَخِّرْكم «مع إخبارِه بامتناعِ تأخيرِه؟ قلت: قضى اللَّهُ أنَّ قوم نوحٍ إنْ آمنوا عَمَّرَهم ألفَ سنةٍ، وإن بَقُوا على كُفْرِهم أَهْلكهم على رأس تسعمِئة. فقيل لهم: إن آمنتم أُخِّرْتم إلى الأجلِ الأطولِ، ثم أخبرهم أنَّه إذا جاء ذلك الأجلُ الأمَدُّ لا يُؤَخَّرُ» انتهى. وقد تَعَلَّق بهذه الآيةِ مَنْ يقولُ بالأَجَلَيْنِ. وتقدَّم جوابُه. وقوله: {لَوْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ} جوابُها محذوفٌ أي: لبادَرْتُمْ إلى ما أَمَرَكم به.
