ثم أثنى على السفرة: قوله تعالى: ﴿كِرَامٍ﴾ قال مقاتل: يعني مسلمين [["تفسير مقاتل" 229/ أ.]]. وقال الكلبي: كرام على ربهم [["النكت والعيون" 6/ 254، "الجامع لأحكام القرآن" 19/ 415.]].
وقال عطاء: يريد أنهم يتكرمون أن يكونوا مع بني آدم، إذا خلا مع زوجته للجماع، وعند الغائط [["التفسير الكبير" 31/ 59. وبمثله قال الضحاك: "النكت والعيون" 6/ 204.]].
﴿بَرَرَةٍ﴾ قال مقاتل: مطيعين [["تفسير مقاتل" 229/ أ، "التفسير الكبير" 31/ 59.]].
(وبررة: جمع بار [[جاء في "الصحاح" جمع البَارِّ: البَرَرَة، وفلان يَبَرُّ خالقه، وَيتَبَرَّرُهُ أي يطيعه، والأم برَّة بولدها، وبَرَّ فلان في يمينه أي صّدّق. 2/ 588: (برر).]]، -قال الفراء-: لأن العرب لا يقولون: فَعَلة يريدون به الجمع إلا والواحد منه فاعل، مثل: كافر، وكفرة، وفاجر، وفجرة) [[ما بين القوسين من قول الفراء. انظر: "معاني القرآن" 3/ 237.]].
قال مقاتل: كان ينزل بالقرآن [[في (ع): القرآن.]] من اللوح المحفوظ إلى السماء الدنيا ليلة القدر إلى الكتبة من الملائكة، ثم ينزل جبريل إلى محمد -ﷺ- [["الوسيط" 4/ 423.]].
