(5) أحوى: صفة مشبّهة من حوي يحوى باب فرح بمعنى اسودّ مع اخضرار.. وفي القاموس: الحوّة بالضم سواد إلى خضرة أو حمرة إلى سواد، وحوي حوى كرضي، ووزن أحوى أفعل مؤنّثه حوّاء والجمع حوّ بضمّ الحاء وتشديد الواو.
