وَقَوله: ﴿لنفتنهم فِيهِ﴾ أَي: لنبتليهم فِيهِ، ونختبرهم فِيهِ.

وَاسْتدلَّ بِهَذَا من قَالَ: إِن معنى الطَّرِيقَة هُوَ الْكفْر والضلالة؛ لِأَنَّهُ قَالَ: ﴿ولنفتنهم فِيهِ﴾ وَهَذَا لَا يلْزم من قَالَ بالْقَوْل الأول؛ لِأَن كَثْرَة النعم فتْنَة للْمُؤْمِنين والكفرة جَمِيعًا.
وَقَوله: ﴿وَمن يعرض عَن ذكر ربه﴾ أَي: عَن الْإِيمَان بربه ﴿يسلكه عذَابا صعدا﴾ أَي: شاقا.
وَالْعَذَاب الشاق هُوَ النَّار، وَمَعْنَاهُ: يدْخلهُ النَّار.
وَمِنْه قَول عمر رَضِي الله عَنهُ: مَا تَصعَّدَنِي شَيْء مَا تَصَعَّدَتْنِي خطْبَة النِّكَاح.
أَي شقَّتْ.
وَعَن ابْن عَبَّاس: أَن قَوْله: ﴿صعدا﴾ هُوَ جبل فِي جَهَنَّم.
وَقيل: هُوَ صَخْرَة من نَار يُكَلف الصعُود عَلَيْهَا، فَإِذا صعد عَلَيْهَا وَقع فِي الدَّرك الْأَسْفَل.
