وَلَقَدْ
And verily
ءَاتَيْنَا
We gave
دَاوُۥدَ
Dawood
وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ
and Sulaiman
عِلْمًا
knowledge
وَقَالَا
and they said
ٱلْحَمْدُ
Praise be
لِلَّهِ
to Allah
ٱلَّذِى
the One Who
فَضَّلَنَا
has favored us
عَلَىٰ
over
كَثِيرٍ
many
مِّنْ
of
عِبَادِهِ
His servants
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
the believers
