وَلَقَدْ
And verily
ءَاتَيْنَا
We gave
لُقْمَٰنَ
Luqman
ٱلْحِكْمَةَ
the wisdom
أَنِ
that
ٱشْكُرْ
Be grateful
لِلَّهِ
to Allah
وَمَن
And whoever
يَشْكُرْ
(is) grateful
فَإِنَّمَا
then only
يَشْكُرُ
he is grateful
لِنَفْسِهِۦ
for himself
وَمَن
And whoever
كَفَرَ
(is) ungrateful
فَإِنَّ
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
غَنِىٌّ
(is) Free of need
حَمِيدٌ
Praiseworthy
