يَٰٓأَيُّهَا

O you who believe

ٱلَّذِينَ

O you who believe

ءَامَنُوا۟

O you who believe

لَا

(Do) not

تَدْخُلُوا۟

enter

بُيُوتَ

(the) houses

ٱلنَّبِىِّ

(of) the Prophet

إِلَّآ

except

أَن

when

يُؤْذَنَ

permission is given

لَكُمْ

to you

إِلَىٰ

for

طَعَامٍ

a meal

غَيْرَ

without

نَٰظِرِينَ

awaiting

إِنَىٰهُ

its preparation

وَلَٰكِنْ

But

إِذَا

when

دُعِيتُمْ

you are invited

فَٱدْخُلُوا۟

then enter

فَإِذَا

and when

طَعِمْتُمْ

you have eaten

فَٱنتَشِرُوا۟

then disperse

وَلَا

and not

مُسْتَـْٔنِسِينَ

seeking to remain

لِحَدِيثٍ

for a conversation

إِنَّ

Indeed

ذَٰلِكُمْ

that

كَانَ

was

يُؤْذِى

troubling

ٱلنَّبِىَّ

the Prophet

فَيَسْتَحْىِۦ

and he is shy

مِنكُمْ

of (dismissing) you

وَٱللَّهُ

But Allah

لَا

is not shy

يَسْتَحْىِۦ

is not shy

مِنَ

of

ٱلْحَقِّ

the truth

وَإِذَا

And when

سَأَلْتُمُوهُنَّ

you ask them

مَتَٰعًا

(for) anything

فَسْـَٔلُوهُنَّ

then ask them

مِن

from

وَرَآءِ

behind

حِجَابٍ

a screen

ذَٰلِكُمْ

That

أَطْهَرُ

(is) purer

لِقُلُوبِكُمْ

for your hearts

وَقُلُوبِهِنَّ

and their hearts

وَمَا

And not

كَانَ

is

لَكُمْ

for you

أَن

that

تُؤْذُوا۟

you trouble

رَسُولَ

(the) Messenger

ٱللَّهِ

(of) Allah

وَلَآ

and not

أَن

that

تَنكِحُوٓا۟

you should marry

أَزْوَٰجَهُۥ

his wives

مِنۢ

after him

بَعْدِهِۦٓ

after him

أَبَدًا

ever

إِنَّ

Indeed

ذَٰلِكُمْ

that

كَانَ

is

عِندَ

near

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

عَظِيمًا

an enormity
