فَإِذَا
So when
مَسَّ
touches
ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
[the] man
ضُرٌّ
adversity
دَعَانَا
he calls upon Us
ثُمَّ
then
إِذَا
when
خَوَّلْنَٰهُ
We bestow (on) him
نِعْمَةً
a favor
مِّنَّا
from Us
قَالَ
he says
إِنَّمَآ
Only
أُوتِيتُهُۥ
I have been given it
عَلَىٰ
for
عِلْمٍۭ
knowledge
بَلْ
Nay
هِىَ
it
فِتْنَةٌ
(is) a trial
وَلَٰكِنَّ
but
أَكْثَرَهُمْ
most of them
لَا
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ
know
