وَأَمَّا

And as for

ثَمُودُ

Thamud

فَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْ

We guided them

فَٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟

but they preferred

ٱلْعَمَىٰ

[the] blindness

عَلَى

over

ٱلْهُدَىٰ

the guidance

فَأَخَذَتْهُمْ

so seized them

صَٰعِقَةُ

a thunderbolt

ٱلْعَذَابِ

(of) the punishment

ٱلْهُونِ

humiliating

بِمَا

for what

كَانُوا۟

they used to

يَكْسِبُونَ

earn
