وَمَا

And not

كَانَ

is

لِبَشَرٍ

for any human

أَن

that

يُكَلِّمَهُ

Allah should speak to him

ٱللَّهُ

Allah should speak to him

إِلَّا

except

وَحْيًا

(by) revelation

أَوْ

or

مِن

from

وَرَآئِ

behind

حِجَابٍ

a veil

أَوْ

or

يُرْسِلَ

(by) sending

رَسُولًا

a messenger

فَيُوحِىَ

then he reveals

بِإِذْنِهِۦ

by His permission

مَا

what

يَشَآءُ

He wills

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed,He

عَلِىٌّ

(is) Most High

حَكِيمٌ

Most Wise
