وَقَالُوا۟

And they will say

we had

نَسْمَعُ

listened

أَوْ

or

نَعْقِلُ

reasoned

مَا

not

كُنَّا

we (would) have been

فِىٓ

among

أَصْحَٰبِ

(the) companions

ٱلسَّعِيرِ

(of) the Blaze
