Indeed,We

هَدَيْنَٰهُ

guided him

ٱلسَّبِيلَ

(to) the way

إِمَّا

whether

شَاكِرًا

(he) be grateful

وَإِمَّا

and whether

كَفُورًا

(he) be ungrateful
