ثم قال : ( لقد وعدنا هذا نحن وآباؤنا من قبل ) أي : ما زلنا نسمع بهذا نحن وآباؤنا ، ولا نرى له حقيقة ولا وقوعا .
وقولهم : ( إن هذا إلا أساطير الأولين ) : يعنون : ما هذا الوعد بإعادة الأبدان ، ( إلا أساطير الأولين ) أي : أخذه قوم عمن قبلهم ، من قبلهم يتلقاه بعض عن بعض ، وليس له حقيقة .
