( وإذا قيل إن وعد الله حق والساعة لا ريب فيها ) أي : إذا قال لكم المؤمنون ذلك ، ( قلتم ما ندري ما الساعة ) أي : لا نعرفها ، ( إن نظن إلا ظنا ) أي : إن نتوهم وقوعها إلا توهما ، أي مرجوحا ; ولهذا قال : ( وما نحن بمستيقنين ) أي : بمتحققين ،
