وقوله : ( ولو قاتلكم الذين كفروا لولوا الأدبار ثم لا يجدون وليا ولا نصيرا ) يقول تعالى مبشرا لعباده المؤمنين : بأنه لو ناجزهم المشركون لنصر الله رسوله وعباده المؤمنين عليهم ، ولانهزم جيش الكفار فارا مدبرا لا يجدون وليا ولا نصيرا ; لأنهم محاربون لله ولرسوله ولحزبه المؤمنين .
