وقوله : ( ذلك بأنهم شاقوا الله ورسوله ) أي : إنما فعل الله بهم ذلك وسلط عليهم رسوله وعباده المؤمنين ; لأنهم خالفوا الله ورسوله ، وكذبوا بما أنزل الله على رسله المتقدمين في البشارة بمحمد - صلى الله عليه وسلم - وهم يعرفون ذلك كما يعرفون أبناءهم ، ثم قال : ( ومن يشاق الله فإن الله شديد العقاب ) .
