( فلما رأوها قالوا إنا لضالون ) أي : فلما وصلوا إليها وأشرفوا عليها ، وهي على الحالة التي قال الله ، عز وجل ، قد استحالت عن تلك النضارة ، والزهرة ، وكثرة الثمار إلى أن صارت سوداء مدلهمة ، لا ينتفع بشيء منها ، فاعتقدوا أنهم قد أخطئوا الطريق ; ولهذا قالوا : ( إنا لضالون ) أي : قد سلكنا إليها غير الطريق فتهنا عنها . قاله ابن عباس وغيره .
