( فكذب وعصى ) أي : فكذب بالحق وخالف ما أمره به من الطاعة . وحاصله أنه كفر قلبه فلم ينفعل لموسى بباطنه ولا بظاهره ، وعلمه بأن ما جاء به أنه حق لا يلزم منه أنه مؤمن به ; لأن المعرفة علم القلب ، والإيمان عمله ، وهو الانقياد للحق والخضوع له .
