أي لعن أصحاب الأخدود وجمعه أخاديد وهي الحفر في الأرض وهذا خبر عن قوم من الكفار عمدوا إلى من عندهم من المؤمنين بالله عز وجل فقهروهم وأرادوهم أن يرجعوا عن دينهم فأبوا عليهم.
