﴿ولما جاءت رسلنا لوطا سيء بهم وضاق بهم ذرعا﴾: لما ظرفية حينية، أو رابطة، وجاءت رسلنا لوطًا فعل وفاعل ومفعول به، وجملة سيء بهم لا محل لها من الإعراب، ونائب الفاعل يعود إلى لوط، و﴿بهم﴾ جار ومجرور متعلقان به، وذرعًا تمييز محول عن الفاعل.
﴿وقال هذا يوم عصيب﴾: الواو عاطفة، وقال عطف على ﴿ضاق﴾، و﴿هذا﴾ مبتدأ، ويوم خبر، وعصيب صفة، والجملة مقول القول.
