فقال عز وجل : ( انظر كيف كذبوا على أنفسهم ) ، باعتذارهم بالباطل وتبريهم عن الشرك ، ( وضل عنهم ) زال وذهب عنهم ( ما كانوا يفترون ) من الأصنام ، وذلك أنهم كانوا يرجون شفاعتها ونصرتها ، فبطل كله في ذلك اليوم .
