( فأوجس في نفسه خيفة موسى ) أي : وجد ، وقيل : أضمر في نفسه خوفا ، واختلفوا في خوفه : قيل : خوف طبع البشرية ، وذلك أنه ظن أنها تقصده .
وقال مقاتل : خاف على القوم أن يلتبس عليهم الأمر فيشكوا في أمره فلا يتبعوه .
