( وتكون الجبال كالعهن ) كالصوف المصبوغ . ولا يقال :" عهن " إلا للمصبوغ . وقال مقاتل : كالصوف المنفوش . وقال الحسن : كالصوف الأحمر وهو أضعف الصوف وأول ما تتغير الجبال تصير رملا مهيلا ثم عهنا منفوشا ، ثم تصير هباء منثورا .
