ثم قال تعالى - بعد وصفهم بما وصفهم به - : ( أولئك جزاؤهم مغفرة من ربهم وجنات ) أي : جزاؤهم على هذه الصفات مغفرة من الله وجنات ( تجري من تحتها الأنهار ) أي : من أنواع المشروبات ( خالدين فيها ) أي : ماكثين فيها ( ونعم أجر العاملين ) يمدح تعالى الجنة .
