ٱقۡتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلۡقَمَرُ ١

The Hour has drawn near and the moon was split ˹in two˺.¹

The Meccan pagans challenged the Prophet (ﷺ) to perform a miracle if he wanted them to believe in him. However, when he (ﷺ) split the moon in two and the pagans saw it with their own eyes, they still refused to believe, calling this miracle “sheer magic.”
