The first word of verse (7:58) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and noun. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The noun is masculine and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The noun's triliteral root is bā lām dāl (ب ل د).
