The ninth word of verse (9:65) is divided into 3 morphological segments. An interrogative alif, preposition and proper noun. The prefixed alif is an interrogative particle used to form a question and is usually translated as "is", "are", or "do". The prefixed preposition bi is usually translated as "with" or "by". The proper noun is in the genitive case (مجرور). The proper noun's triliteral root is hamza lām hā (أ ل ه). Together the segments form a preposition phrase known as jār wa majrūr (جار ومجرور).
