The fifth word of verse (9:74) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A circumstantial particle, emphatic prefix and particle of certainty. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "while" and is used to indicate the circumstance of events. The prefixed particle lām is usually translated as "surely" or "indeed" and is used to add emphasis.
