The sixth word of verse (9:125) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A resumption particle, verb and object pronoun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is third person feminine singular. The verb's triliteral root is zāy yā dāl (ز ي د). The attached object pronoun is third person masculine plural.
