The prefixed alif is an interrogative particle used to form a question and is usually translated as "is", "are", or "do". The form III imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is second person masculine plural and is in the indicative mood (مرفوع). The verb's triliteral root is ḥā jīm jīm (ح ج ج). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is first person plural.
