The third word of verse (11:87) is divided into 3 morphological segments. An interrogative alif, noun and possessive pronoun. The prefixed alif is an interrogative particle used to form a question and is usually translated as "is", "are", or "do". The noun is feminine and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The noun's triliteral root is ṣād lām wāw (ص ل و). The attached possessive pronoun is second person masculine singular.
