The first word of verse (11:93) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A conjunction, vocative particle, noun and possessive pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The noun is masculine and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The noun's triliteral root is qāf wāw mīm (ق و م). The yā of the first person singular possessive pronoun has been omitted due to elision (الياء محذوفة), and is indicated by the kasrah.
