The fifth word of verse (11:110) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and verb. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The passive form VIII perfect verb (فعل ماض) is third person masculine singular. The verb's triliteral root is khā lām fā (خ ل ف).
