The fifth word of verse (12:4) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A vocative particle, noun and possessive pronoun. The noun is masculine singular and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The noun's triliteral root is hamza bā wāw (أ ب و). The yā of the first person singular possessive pronoun has been omitted due to elision (الياء محذوفة), and is indicated by the kasrah.
