The first word of verse (14:45) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is sīn kāf nūn (س ك ن). The suffix (التاء) is an attached subject pronoun.
