The second word of verse (15:54) is divided into 4 morphological segments. An interrogative alif, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The prefixed alif is an interrogative particle used to form a question and is usually translated as "is", "are", or "do". The form II perfect verb (فعل ماض) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is bā shīn rā (ب ش ر). The suffix (التاء) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is first person singular.
