The 57th word of verse (2:187) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A particle of cause and prohibition particle. The prefixed particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so". The particle is used to indicate cause and makes the following verb subjunctive. The prohibition particle (حرف نهي) is used to form a negative imperative and places the following verb into the jussive mood (مجزوم).
