The eighth word of verse (18:66) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A verb and object pronoun. The form II imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is second person masculine singular and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is ʿayn lām mīm (ع ل م). The yā of the first person singular object pronoun has been omitted due to elision (الياء محذوفة), and is indicated by the kasrah.
