The first word of verse (20:41) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form VIII perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person singular. The verb's triliteral root is ṣād nūn ʿayn (ص ن ع). The suffix (التاء) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is second person masculine singular.
