The first word of verse (21:93) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form V perfect verb (فعل ماض) is third person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is qāf ṭā ʿayn (ق ط ع). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.
